About Us
Adithya Package Industry (API) was established in 2002 in Pondicherry to manufacture liner bags. Initially, it started with the manufacture of LDPE bags. Today, API is one of the leading manufacturers of pharma-grade bags in South India, with the capacity to produce LDPE, HDPE, Tri-laminated Aluminium, Metallized Polyester, and LDPE 3D bags of various sizes and thicknesses.
From a 2,000 sq. ft. shed in 2002, it has now grown to 8,000 sq. ft. API has invested significantly in quality assurance, quality control, and innovation over the last 20 years.
API has long worked with its customers to develop specific solutions to meet their requirements, drawing on 25 years of experience in developing custom solutions. Over time, API has built a network of quality-conscious suppliers to support its operations. The company has also invested considerably in supply chain management to ensure smooth lead times, adequate stocking, and on-time payments to suppliers.

Facility
API is located in Sedarapet Industrial Estate in Pondicherry. Pondicherry is located south of Chennai and is well connected to Tamilnadu, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Kerala. API is located in an established industrial estate with a shed size of appx 8,000 sq ft. It is equipped with two extruders along with related cutting and sealing machine for straight and 3D sealing. The facility is dust-free and equipped with incoming air filters, triple door access, and air-conditioned inspection and packing rooms to meet customer requirements. API QC lab is equipped with instruments to check Melt Flow Index, Heavy Metal and Residue on Ignition. API operates its own fleet of closed container trucks to ensure safe delivery of bags to its customers.
Certifications
API is listed with FDA for DMF Type-3 and is also an ISO 9001:2015 certified company. API has implemented a robust GMP based quality management system covering all areas of operations and has developed specified standards, SOP’s and STP’s for testing incoming raw materials, in process goods, finished goods, standardization of processes etc.
